Fallen Angel

I lay upon the edge of my grave
Awaiting death
For I can’t be saved

A rose per hand
A pink and romantic red
One to symbolize how I once loved
The other to symbolize how I’ve suffered and bled

I committed suicide
Choosing to die instead
My body remains alive
While my mind is forever dead

Never moving
I stare blankly up at the sky
Waiting to return
A Fallen Angel am I
